Volunteer

Woodside Sunnyside Compost is a completely volunteer-run program. We need your help! We rely on individuals from our neighborhood to keep our site up and running. Please consider signing up for a one-hour shift this month. We welcome volunteer help on Saturdays and Sundays.

Typical volunteer tasks include:

Saturdays:

aerating and moving compost - plus helping setting up https://www.rustywheelbarrowfarm.org/

Sundays:

Greeting people who are dropping off food scraps.

Monitoring drop-offs and keeping a record of the number/volume of food scraps collected

Processing donated scraps – chopping, transferring, turning, sifting

We also need help seeking funding opportunities and planning events and workshops for children.
